This Isn’t Better Than Nothing

Okay, another day spent. I puttered around but didn’t really get anything done. In some circles I would be called a no account layabout. In some circles I would be called a member of parliament. It all depends on the way you look at things I suppose.

We got a call to come pick up our computer from Memory Express just after lunch. We had dropped it off because it was making these unpleasant grinding noises. Grinding noises are fine in a grinder or a coffee mill, but not in delicate, high tech machinery. When we talked to the lady geek she told us that we were lucky the fixit geek in the back room was feeling all warm and fluffy about life. He decided not to charge us for the repair of the broken hinge and the small bit of plastic that was stuck in the fan.

We do have the extended warranty, but that doesn’t cover any mechanical problems, just software I suppose. We did not know that! We didn’t even know that the hinge was broken; it seemed to be working just fine. Live and learn I suppose. I am just glad that the fixit geek was hopped up on Red Bull and I suspect he met a hot little ogre chick in his D&D game and got some green ogre lovin. Anyways, the laptop is humming and ready to do battle with whatever needs battling.

I know that no one cares what I do all day, I rarely care what I do all day, but it is either this or I could start to describe things that leave my body. No one wants that.

I am starting to get a little depressed. Well, tomorrow the sun might just come out and that will brighten everything up a little. I hope. Louise will be watching football all day and I just might take the air conditioner out of the window. I will have to be very careful not to drop it on myself or I’ll have to wait for half time for Louise to call an ambulance.
