It Just Feels Weird

So, here I am in Edmonton, sitting in a Holiday Inn room at a desk that is too high for the chair. I guess I wasn’t expecting much more. This is not Bing Crosby’s Holiday Inn , nor is it the one that Elton John sang about. I don’t think I will sing it’s praises either. It is OK without living up to any high expectations.

We just got back from a 61st surprise birthday party for my long time friend Bill. I have never been a big fan of surprise parties for those getting on in age with potential weak hearts. Bill was surprised and he didn’t drop dead, so in the end it was a good time had by all. We had food and cake and drinks and the Cannuks won their game. All in all a satisfactory trip to the north.

The next time that we go north I hope to visit Santa. He is the one that always visits, so I figure that he is due to have company.

You know, this is just uncomfortable writing here. I will try to do a better one tomorrow. It just doesn’t feel right. I feel a disturbance in the force.
