Some days just seem to float by. Today is one of those days.
Nothing of any great import has happened, and nothing has occurred that will make today stand out in my memory. Yet, today took the same amount of time that those great days take. A minute took a minute, an hour took an hour and I took them all in stride. We never know the impact that a day will have.
I just found out that Osama Bin Laden is dead. From the news reports you would think that today everyone won the lottery. People are partying in the streets. I don’t know if the death of one man will change the face of world terrorism. In fact I am sure that it won’t. The only thing accomplished is that the radicals on both sides will reaffirm their beliefs and work harder towards success of their particular doctrine.
I guess that it couldn’t end any other way.
Me? I am going to enjoy the minutes and hours that I have left in the day.
I think I’ll celebrate life today.
Well I know this is a day after the fact but when you dropped into Acme unannounced on Saturday you managed to defy certain death. A lady by the name of Elaine Smith lives in that town, now that runs shivers down my spine! B
